Meet Dr. Erik Balinghasay – a Los Angeles native who now calls San Diego home, and is Espire Dental’s amazing Endodontist here in Southern California! Dr. Erik attended the University of California San Diego, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, with a minor in music – a man of many talents! From there, he attended the University of California Los Angeles School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

During his time at UCLA, Dr. Erik’s passion grew for caring for patients whose quality of life could significantly change with the help of Endodontics. This passion drove him to attend the University of Washington School of Dentistry to pursue his Endodontic Specialty Training Certificate and a Master of Dental Science degree. Dr. Erik is now a Board-Certified Endodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics – yes, he stays busy!

Outside of the office, Dr. Erik can be found hitting birdies on the golf course, fishing on the Pacific coast, and spending time with his family and friends. In his down time, he’s usually reading a new favorite book (right now it’s either Decoded by Jay-Z or Shoe Dog by Phil Knight) or adding to his movie playlist (if you get him started on movies, he may not be able to stop!).
