Keeping Your Smile White and Bright

WITH WHITE CLOTHES, SOMETIMES IT TAKES a little bleach and a little sunlight to bring them back to their beautiful brightness! Over time, and even when freshly washed, a t-shirt and socks will start looking like they’re losing some of their zip. The same goes for your smile!

Your teeth may not feel the same as a cotton t-shirt feels, but they ARE porous, and they absorb the food colors that you eat each day.

Which Foods and Drinks Stain Teeth the Most?

Take a look at these top staining culprits. Some of them may surprise you.

  • Coffee (some studies show coffee will stain even worse than smoking)
  • Berries (including those delicious berry smoothies you love)
  • Brightly colored candies
  • Red wine
  • Dark sodas
  • Curry
  • Soy sauce
  • Dark fruit juices
  • Smoking

Remember that drinks can be especially problematic because we tend to sip them continuously. It’s a lot like bathing your teeth in dye.

Tips for Maintaining a Bright Smile

  • Limit your teeth’s exposure to strong pigments.
  • Swish with some water after consuming any of the foods or drinks listed above.
  • Brush, floss, and visit us regularly!

Is It Time For Professional Whitening?

There are stains that normal cleaning won’t get rid of. To have your whitest white, consider professional teeth whitening.

Your timing is perfect, because we’re doing our Smiles For Life Campaign! When you get your smile whitened you also help children locally and around the world.

Here’s how it works:

50% of proceeds are set aside for Rocky Mountain Active 20-30, a local philanthropic group that awards grants to Denver youth charities. The rest is distributed to children’s charities around the country—organizations like St. Jude’s Hospital, Smiles For Hope, and the Children’s Miracle Network.

Help Us Spread The Word So We Can Help MORE Kids!

Whether you choose to have your own smile whitened or not, you can make a HUGE difference for seriously ill and underserved children around the world by simp ly sharing this opportunity on your trusted social networks such as Facebook!

Thanks for helping us make a difference in children’s lives!
